Another year!

We've been hard at work this year making changes to the property!  Here are some of the highlights.
  • Upgraded pontoon boat.  The 2000 Bennington has been replaced by a 2003 Bennington.  You will wonder how this boat could be over 10 years old.  It is pristine, and an upgrade in every way.  The motor is a 50 horse Yamaha, and is both quieter and smoother than our previous boat.
  • Cable internet and wi-fi.  Although we like to believe disconnecting is a good idea when on vacation, we recognize that people really expect this amenity.  It will also allow for use of Netflix, Pandora, and other applications for media content.
  • Aluminum dock stairs with railing.  This will provided more convenient and safe access from the dock into the water.
  • New Facebook page.  To go along with our naming of the property, we now have a page on Facebook as well.  Search for Sunrise Cove at Lake Nebagamon.  "Like" our page to get updates on happenings at and around Sunrise Cove, and we strongly encourage you to upload pictures and updates of your fun at Sunrise Cove!

New driveway

I'm very delayed in posting this, but this Fall we had our driveway over-hauled to properly slope, widen, drain, and most importantly we used a finer material that was compacted that allows for good traction of two-wheel drive vehicles.

We appreciate all of our guests and the opportunity to reinvest in the property on a regular basis.

Summer of 2013 has arrived (although slowly)

After one of the most brutal winters in memory, the grass is green and the dock and boats are in the water.  Because of the record April snows, the water is as high as it has been since record floods in 2001.  Our dock is at its max height and numerous others on the lake are not able to put in their docks until the water drops!  I would estimate the water is about 2 feet higher than mid-Summer normal.

The ice came off on May 13 this year!  That meant pretty chilly water on Memorial Day weekend when the dock was put in.  It is slowly warming up.  When are the 80 degree temps going to come?!?  Good thing we have a sauna to warm up after your swim for the next couple weeks!

Looking forward to another Summer of happy, relaxed guests.  The calls have already started for 2014 reservations!

New Winter website

With this historical shortage of Winter weather, we took some time to build a website that better describes why you should consider staying with us during the Winter months.  At the very least, you can see what things will look like when the snow finally comes!

Fall Update

10/12/2011

The dock is out, the boats are winterized, and the leaves are falling.  It is always a good feeling to have things put away and ready for the ice and snow!  Sad to see another summer come to an end, but the promise of a great Winter season to come is also a big draw.

We have made two other additions to the property.  First, we have an Otter Island swim raft for the kids and adults alike.  Second, we now have Dish Network in high definition.  Just make sure you spend plenty of time enjoying the outdoors first!

Addition of fishing boat

7/13/2011

By popular demand, we now offer a fishing boat for our guests.  The boat is a standard v-hull 12 foot aluminum boat with a quiet and efficient 8 hp 4-stroke tiller motor.  We hope this is a convenient and fun addition to our property!

Let summer begin!

The dock is in and the water has warmed.  After a very cold Spring, we just had a great weekend of sunshine and high 80's.  The surface water temp went up 8 degrees between Saturday morning and Sunday afternoon!
